About
Andreas Ottensamer, whose conducting elegance Kraków’s audience had the chance to experience during his concert with Sinfonietta Cracovia in 2023, will once again lead the orchestra in a performance featuring a carefully curated program for strings.
The concert program will include deeply emotional and atmospheric works by Othmar Schoeck and Arnold Schönberg. Schoeck’s Sommernacht is an impressionistic reflection on the beauty of a summer evening, while Schönberg’s Verklärte Nacht is a poignant and poetic tale of two lovers and a certain Transfigured Night.
At the heart of the program lies Chamber Symphony No. 2 in E-flat minor, a work that bridges the late Romantic expressiveness with the bold harmonic experiments of the Austrian composer.
