Musician, producer, and music manager. Coordinator and organizer of artistic events and audio-video recordings featuring the most prominent artists, creators, and performing groups in Poland and abroad. He graduated with honors from the Academy of Music in Łódź in the clarinet class, as well as postgraduate studies in education management at the University of Economics in Katowice and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) at the Vincent Pol University in Lublin. Former vice-president of the board and director of trade and marketing at the Polskie Wydawnictwo Muzyczne (PWM) in Krakow. In the 1990s, he was the saxophonist of the band Varius Manx. Since 2020, he has been the director of the Baltic Opera Festival – the largest international opera event in Northern Europe.

Violinist – soloist and chamber musician, conductor and teacher. He studied under Iwona Wojciechowska, Zakhar Bron, Alexander Kramarov and Marina Jashvili, amongst others.

Graduated with distinction from the Academy of Music in Łódź and the Conservatory of Music in Enschede. Has won numerous prizes at national and international violin and chamber music competitions. The most significant moment and turning point in his career came with his victories at the European Broadcasting Union Competition in Ljubljana and the 11th Henryk Wieniawski International Violin Competition in Poznań (1996), where he also received numerous special prizes and honours. Since then, Błaszczyk has been performing extensively as a violinist, chamber musician and conductor throughout Europe.

He is a professor at the Grażyna and Kiejstut Bacewicz Academy of Music in Łódź; since September 2024, he has served as Vice-Rector for Artistic Affairs and Promotion.

In 1999, as one of the concertmasters of the Polish Festival Orchestra, he took part in Krystian Zimerman’s world tour, performing in the most famous concert halls of Europe and the United States. From 2005 to 2014, he was concertmaster of the Teatr Wielki – Polish National Opera in Warsaw.

He is the founder, artistic director and conductor of the PRIMUZ Chamber Orchestra, which has been active since 2012. With this ensemble, he won the Grand Prix at the 1st National String Orchestra Competition in Bydgoszcz (2018) and the Grand Prix at the World Vienna Competition (2021), beating 144 ensembles from around the world. As conductor of the PRIMUZ Orchestra, he has shared the stage with, amongst others, Adam Makowicz, Kevin Kenner, Andrea Ioniţă, Krzesimir Dębski, Olga Pasiecznik, Jacek Królik and Krzysztof Cugowski.

Łukasz Błaszczyk places particular emphasis on promoting Polish music, including the work of Grażyna Bacewicz, the patron of the Academy of Music in Łódź. The album Grażyna Bacewicz – Music for String Orchestra, recorded with the PRIMUZ Orchestra, has received numerous awards: MusicWeb International 2022, the SélectionClicMag! distinction awarded by the French music magazine ‘ClicMagi’, and the highest rating – 5 Diapason – from the French music magazine ‘Diapason’.

Łukasz Błaszczyk is actively involved in teaching violin courses and workshops, and also serves as a judge at numerous violin and chamber music competitions.

In recognition of his artistic and educational achievements, he has been honoured with the Polish Academy of Sciences Award, the Bronze and Silver Crosses of Merit, and the Mayor of Łódź’s Award – the Gloria Artis Medal.

His students and alumni include numerous winners of international and national violin and chamber music competitions. Between 2019 and 2022, he was a member of the Council for Arts Education under the Minister of Culture and National Heritage. He is the founder of the ‘Primuz’ Foundation, which was established to promote the country’s cultural heritage and support young artists.
