About
Espresso concerts offer discovering new spaces for music and combining various domains of art. The March offering in the series will enable us to rediscover a venue that can boast a long tradition and a long history of musical performances. The concert hall of Hotel Saski in Krakow hosted, among others, Johannes Brahms, Ferenc Liszt and Henryk Wieniawski. Ignacy Jan Paderewski presented here his very first recital, with the support of none other than Helena Modrzejewska.
Espresso at Hotel Saski will begin with a tale of the history of this room against the tumultuous fate of the city of Kraków (from the Austro-Hungarian era to contemporary times). Our guides in the voyage into the past will be Andrzej Berłowski from Hotel Saski and Jadwiga Polus, RMF Classic journalist. Once again, chamber musicians of Sinfonietta Cracovia and countertenor Michał Sławecki will fill the room with the spirit of music, presenting the programme composed of opera arias composed by Antonio Vivaldi.
