About
On July 2, in the courtyard of the Potocki Palace, Sinfonietta Cracovia's musicians will perform as a string duo in both classical and film music repertoire. Searching for new spaces for music will look for inspiration in the combination of music and literature. The concertmaster of Sinfonietta Cracovia Maciej Lulek, and the violist Adam Brakowski will perform Mozart's String Duo and... a surprise piece from the repertoire of film music.
Teresa Walas, a literary scholar, and Łukasz Wojtusik, a journalist from RMF Classic, will talk about the Polish Nobel Prize winner, a poet Wisława Szymborska, who is often refferred to be as brilliant in words as Mozart in music.
Espresso Concerts is a series of meetings as short as an espresso shot, held in various branches of Krakow museums, combined with the presentation of a selected work of art to which the concert repertoire alludes.
The series creates favourable conditions to enter the world of music for those who do not regularly partake in the cultural life of Krakow. It is also a proposition for audiences who decide to catch a breath on a Sunday afternoon, and savour both culture and a cup of their favourite coffee.
