About
Zofia Rydet is one of the most interesting Polish photographers, author of the famed “Sociological Record”, a series that constitutes the foundation of Polish documentary photography. On 6 December, MuFo, the Museum of Photography in Krakow will inaugurate the exhibition of Rydet’s work and open for us the world of her imagination and unexpected juxtapositions in her collages. “Zofia Rydet. The World of Feelings and Imagination” will enable visitors to view the collection of collages, the artist’s magnum opus. Sinfonietta Cracovia and the Museum of Photography in Krakow invite everyone for an espresso with Zofia Rydet – the event concluding the opening weekend of the new temporary exhibition will be an opportunity to look at featured works from the perspective of its creators, and an occasion to learn the secrets of the exhibition.
The conversation about the art of collage will be hosted by Bartosz Flak, assistant professor in the Department of Photography and Photographic Techniques of the MuFo. The musical follow-up to the conversation will be the concert of chamber musicians of Sinfonietta Cracovia who, together with Ewa Jarguz, will present a selection of Arcangelo Corelli’s Concerto grossi. The music of Italian baroque master will resound in the MuFo space as an extension of the idea of combining arts, in line with both the baroque spirit of invention and contemporary collage.
